What kind of food should we choose for a healthy place?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-1 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-one-full fusion-column-first fusion-column-last\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:10px;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\" style=\"background-position:left top;background-repeat:no-repeat;-webkit-background-size:cover;-moz-background-size:cover;-o-background-size:cover;background-size:cover;padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><p>The combination of moderate physical activity, such as walking 30 minutes daily, with a healthy diet (low in sugars and fats) are essential guidelines for preventing type 2 diabetes. The more veggies -and the greater variety- the better. Potatoes and French fries don\u00b4t count. Eat plenty fruits of all colors.<\/li>\n<li>A quarter with whole grains (like whole-wheat bread, whole-grain pasta, and brown rice). Limit refined grains (like white rice and white and white bread).<\/li>\n<li>And, for the last quarter healthy protein, choose fish, poultry, beans and nuts; limit red meat and cheese; avoid bacon, cold cuts, and other processed meats.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Harvard Eating Plate method emphasis drinking water as main beverage, and states to use only healthy oils (<a href=\"https:\/\/latam.patiadiabetes.com\/en\/more-healthy-fats-fewer-carbohydrates-reduce-type-2-diabetes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">like olive oil and canola oil<\/a>).
